Description
Matanaram is the lyric poetry written by the poet in 2001 in 111 verses on the present day adverse social situation. It has been named as Yugantaranandi. The poet at the outset highlights ironically the tendency of the present day people, who refute old values. The poet establishes the fact that our ancient values are invariably important for the welfare and upliftment of the society.
People in the present day society are mostly engaged to discover faults of others. Society is governed by a group of people disqualified to differentiate between good and evil. People are thirsty to fulfill their lust by adopting unfair means.
Poet has portrayed the present day society in its true sense which indicates that Sanskrit poetry is alert enough to depict rapidly changing actual nature of the society.
