Description

Sharbhangam is a lyric poetry written by Prof. Dwivedi in 2001. It is a poem of 108 verses on mysticism. Sharabhanga is a saint who lived in Dandakaranya wherein all the materials were available for a man to live a prosperous life and parallel to it was living the death itself.

Indian Philosophy believes in the absolute entity though it does not reject the material world. These two are just opposite to each other; one is mortal and the other immortal. However, they exist in this world at a time. The poet highlights this contradiction in his poem. He portrays it in the character of Rishi Sharabhanga.
