Description

Satapatram is a lyric poetry written by Prof. Dwivedi in 1987. It contains 113 verses on the nature of poetic composition. Each verse of the lyric begins with the word ‘Kavita’. In the opening verse poet says poetry is the free exposition of heartfelt feelings without any preoccupation. Poetry is the exposition of thoughts that engulf the heart of the poet in loneliness. It is the reflection of the soul of the poet.

On one hand the poet gives a number of holy images incarnating poetry and on the other hand he has introduced a number of images related to the present day atmosphere and have refuted them to be the part of the poetry in any way.
