Description
Lyric poetry of 121 verses to commemorate the release of the popular leader of South Africa Nelson Mandela from imprisonment after 25 years. The poet compares Mandela with Sakatarah, the minister of Nanda Dynasty which was imprisoned in a dark room for a long time along with his family and who survived on the five grains given per day to each member of his family from a small hole in the prison. Each member of the family use to give all their grains to Sakatarah to let him live until the end of the period of imprisonment. Similar was the position of Mandela though he was put alone in the imprisonment unlike Sakatarah. Published in 2000
