YUTHIKA
Sanskrit Drama viz. Natika – of 4 acts based on the tragic drama Romeo Juliet of the famous English dramatist Shakespeare which is based on an Italian love story of two youths who belonged to two different royal families having long existing rivalry between them. The poet has made a unique attempt to transform the story of an English play into Sanskrit dramatic art adding a number of new observations to inherit flow in it. It contains all the principal characteristics of a successful drama laid down by the ancient Sanskrit scholars of poetics. Published in 1976 by tKalidas Sansthan, Varanasi.
Manah is the name of the father of Harsha the hero of this Natika and Latah is the father of Yuthika the heroin. The poet has inducted Vishkambhaka in the beginning of the first act to inform about the actual condition of the States. In the first Act of the Natika Harsa and Yuthika express their love towards each other and decide to unite very soon. Harsha says to Yuthika :
